We met with Tim Sebastian and the Red Cross yesterday to discuss global efforts to improve emergency preparedness and response with the help of new technology/social media tools and services. We presented concepts from our WHO-Media Lab project and were very happy to learn of the growing momentum for more effective collaboration and response, focusing on addressing the immediate information needs of those affected by disasters.
M4ID will keep on learning, sharing information and helping move the agenda forward in every way possible. A big thank you to Tim for advocating on behalf of this important issue!
