iPhone apps for good

We’re happy to see more non-profits using moblie applications to raise funds and awareness.. WaterAid recently launched it’s ToiletFinder UK, an iPhone application that uses geolocation to find public toilets.  App users are then encouraged to show their appreciation for the tool by making a small donation to WaterAid through the  iPhone. Our favourite social media site, Mashable, is this week profiling charitable initiatives that are maximising social media use .. their first post is about LIVESTRONG, the cancer Foundation founded by Lance Armstrong.
