IFC Online opens tomorrow

Can’t wait for the IFC Online webinars to kick off tomorrow, over 300 organizations from 48 countries have registered. We’re going to be listening in on our co-presenters as well as refining our presentation that takes place on the 12th and 13th. Check it out here.

Last week we also had an interesting time over at the Police Union, helping them through their social media thinking, as well as enjoying sharing our thoughts on social media and development at the Aalto Social Impact event on Thursday.. more on this later.

Building Capacity

We’ve got a busy spring speaking schedule coming up. Over the next weeks, M4ID’s Mari Tikkanen will among others, be one of the 10 global experts speaking at IFC Online, predicted to be attended by 4,000 non-profit professionals worldwide. Mari will be presenting on how to build an action-oriented online community.

We’re also excited about training Finnish police in social media use, as well as engaging innovation-driven Aalto University in social media for non-profits. We hope also to get a space to present our new maternal health concepts at the Women Deliver conference in DC.

Top 10 at IFC Online

M4ID’s Mari Tikkanen has been chosen as one of the 10 speakers for the largest global fundraising e-conference, IFC Online, to be held May 11-13, 2010. The conference will have a focus on raising funds and building constituency online for non-profit organizations worldwide. In addition to Mari, the three plenary speakers will be Randi Zuckerberg, who spearheads Facebook’s work with nonprofits; Geoff Handy, who directs the massively successful online fundraising efforts of the Humane Society of the United States; and Roger Craver, a direct mail legend.

The IFC Online 2009 engaged 400 sites in 42 countries around the world, with more than 1,800 fundraisers attending. This year’s IFC Online is projected to attract at least 3,000 attendees.

M4ID to present at first IFC webinar

Resource Alliance is taking their successful International Fundraising Conference (IFC) online: IFC Online will be the world’s first global, virtual fundraising conference. Taking place completely over the internet, the event will deliver three days of live, interactive, workshops and plenaries to a world-wide audience of fundraisers. The webinar taking place May 12-14, features prominent speakers such as Scott Goodstein, who ran Obama’s very successful social media campaign as well as Ramya Raghavan, YouTube’s Non-for-Profit Manager. M4ID’s Mari Tikkanen will also be among speakers, hosting two workshops on how to use social media to re-energize relations and increase support from government donors. Learn more and register here.
